MONO/METRO RAIL

A monorail is a rail-based transportation system made on a single rail track, which acts as its only support and guideway. The term originates by joining mono (one) and rail, from as early as 1897, by a German Engineer EugenLangen who called an elevated railway system with wagons suspended One-railed Suspension Tramway. The term is also used variously to describe the beam of the system, or the vehicles traveling on such a track or a beam. This transportation system is referred to as a Rapid Transportation System (RTS).

Colloquially, the term "monorail" is often used erroneously to describe any form of elevated rail or human mover. In fact, the term refers to the style of track and not its elevation. Monorail systems have found various applications in the transportation sectorsuch as in airport passenger movement, mass transportation in some medium cities, metros. To differentiate monorail systems from other transport modes, the Monorail Society further clarifies the definition of a monorail such that the beam in a monorail system is narrower than the vehicle.

In recent times, road transport has become hazardous with massive congestion and overcrowding, resulting is commuters spending more time on traffic jams. The road use has resulted in worst scenario. A better means of transport has entered the transport system which is Rapid Transport System. It is observed that around 60% of journeys in Major cities in India are made using public transport, mainly by train and bus. The closure of the tramway in the 1960s is now seen as a major planning error. There are 26 cities in India proposing to build high-capacity mono/metro systems, Cities like Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad are already having the metro and areon the construction stage, and Mumbai being last but not the least has reached the construction stage. Many more cities have similar plans.

With the huge population in India, it is easy to find a city which needs Monorail, and Negara Infracon has made the move towards providing cleaner solutions of public transportation.  We have held initial talks with some states in India and are committed to provide the highest standard of mono & metro rail. Keeping in mind the commitment, Negara Infracon will ensure all design and operations with professional approach and safety measures.
